Readwise Reader is the most feature-complete read-later app in this set: text-to-speech, best-in-class highlighting, the Ghostreader AI assistant, spaced repetition over what you highlighted, RSS, PDF and EPUB, YouTube and podcast transcripts, two newsletter addresses, native desktop apps, offline reading and no ads. Its export is excellent too — a CSV of every document plus a ZIP containing the full content of any articles you saved from the web, along with OPML and Markdown highlights. There is no free tier: a 30-day trial with no card, then $9.99 a month billed annually or $12.99 billed monthly. Watch the pricing page, because the cheaper $5.59 Lite tier does not include Reader. One more search trap: the Chrome extension is listed as "Readwise Highlighter", not Reader. Readwise is bootstrapped by choice, and its documentation is the only one in the category that admits Pocket exports can no longer be obtained.
