Ghostery

Ghostery is an open-source ad and tracker blocker with 2,000,000 Chrome Web Store users at 4.7 stars and 972,094 average daily users on Firefox. It has been publicly critical of Manifest V3 since a post in December 2021 — well before it shipped its own MV3 build — and it now ships one anyway. One caution if you read its blog: it states that uBlock Origin has been removed from the Chrome Web Store, and that is not true; the listing was live when we checked on 29 July 2026. Ghostery also has a free Safari app, but with only 194 ratings it is too thinly reviewed to recommend on that platform.
