About AdGuard Home
AdGuard Home is self-hosted, network-wide DNS filtering — v0.107.78 shipped on 13 July 2026 — and it runs natively on Windows and macOS, which removes the buy-a-Raspberry-Pi barrier that puts people off this whole category. It publishes no hardware minimums, so we quote none. The same DNS-layer limits apply as everywhere else, and AdGuard says so in its own DNS documentation: filtering by domain is coarse, it applies no cosmetic filtering and does not remove the whitespace left behind a blocked ad, which is why AdGuard recommends DNS filtering in addition to browser filtering rather than instead of it.
